I'm going to ETH Prague. If the ticket were a soul-bound NFT worth the ticket price, I would see that as a valid way to distribute tickets using a decentralised platform.

Also I would rather own my ebooks as NFTs utilising ipfs rather than trusting Amazon to host and distribute, taking rather large royalties.

I would say most things people buy on-chain are useless, but that's because the meta has become making quick money rather than fair and equitable distribution of proper art and literature.
