We’re behind the UAE now. Actually I think the UAE should be higher on this list (great in every respect except for personal freedom), but anyway Canada seems to be falling in these rankings generally https://www.economist.com/graphic-detail/2024/03/13/which-countries-have-the-best-and-worst-living-standards

Tbh I'm not surprised. The gov't is making some bad decisions imo, and it doesn't help that the general mental state of developed countries is in decline
