Started cooking my dog’s food and lil dude has never been more excited to eat! Way cheaper than a good bag of kibble + his energy levels and overall health seems to have improved too! https://i.imgur.com/2ywtv8p.jpg

Whenever possible, people should truly never feed their pups any of the processed kibble. You are on the right path! We stick to the (sadly expensive!) freeze dried raw meats and then supplement as you are with our own cooked sweet potatoes, carrots, and a little bit of rice.

Yea I agree! Sad it took me almost 8 years to switch. I fed him Orijen kibbles (not terrible) his whole life and would add some sort of toppers + goat’s milk for moisture/pro-bio. Now I cooking some chicken with beets, celery, sweet potatoes, and carrots. He’s always been super healthy, but never this stoked food.

Any specific reason why you chose the frozen dry protein over buying it raw? Might be a good next step for me!

Stores longer, no need to prepare other than add hydrationβ€”and for the dogs, they love the crispy texture of one of the kinds we get. We get Stella and Chewy's (Beef patties) and Ziwi brand (Chicken *crispy).. Sometimes we grill chicken for them though to your raw point, they can't get enough of that.
