The traditional concept of an album is evolving. Do you like where things are headed? Why or why not? https://www.businessinsider.com/spotify-tiktok-taylor-swift-beyonce-muse-streaming-quantity-over-quality-2024-7

Where it’s headed long-term? Yes, potentially, especially in spaces experimenting outside of current streaming giant hegemony. But short term, as the article observes, I’m not thrilled about where it is currently and where it looks to remain until that hegemony is broken (catering to short form content, 2-minute songs, disregard of sequencing for front-to-back listening experience, endless re-releases, etc)

I also want to see more experimentation with albums outside of the current major streaming services. I hope that more music will eventually be available onchain, but it’s not clear to me which web3 platform that will be on (OpenSea, Zora, Sound, etc). I was also thinking it would be interesting if an album could exist only in the physical world, one that you can only experience live and is not available online, except for videos that people might share from the live shows
