I mean it probably is too late to implement some sort harberger tax or demand based pricing system for ENS, maybe years ago when Vitalik.eth suggested it wasn't

but now ENS has been saying to extend your name for 100 years 'if you really wanna own it'. And its not possible to increase the yearly fee after it has been paid right? So the longer is waited with such a change, the less names will be influenced by such a new pricing system
