Live from Farcon: Base has zero plans for a token. They're enamored with the blooming token economy, led by DEGEN, and want to encourage growth. Moreover, a token would be regressive, in Jesse's view, and Base team would rather decentralize the network "the hard way", w/o one.

TLDR: No Base token. Degen to $1.

Degen Chain L3 will be the largest, most popular L3 that acts like an L1/L2. All new L3s will be app or use-case specific.

Degen has embedded users and usage of their token w/ WC, no other token likely ever will. Base won't have a token so the way to bet on Base is $Degen token as an index bet.
