Rapper Heather Morgan, known as “Razzlekhan,” could be sentenced to 18 months in prison for laundering cryptocurrency stolen in a 2016 hack of cryptocurrency exchange Bitfinex.

Prosecutors gave her a break because Morgan cooperated with investigators as part of a plea deal. They noted that her husband, Ilya Lichtenstein, was the main organizer of the crime, but that Heather helped launder the stolen funds.

The couple used sophisticated methods to hide the stolen bitcoins, using darknet markets and cryptocurrency exchanges, and also bought non-fungible tokens (NFTs), gold, and even Walmart (NYSE:WMT) grocery gift cards.
