It just so happens that my grandmother got sick. She lives in another city. I went to visit her for a week. My husband has been sending me photos and videos all this week of them walking with the kids, how he made them a cake, how he cleaned the whole apartment and rearranged the closet in the hallway, how he fixed the plumbing. It was really him, the kids confirmed. What's wrong with that?
It's just that when I'm home, he does nothing at all, the whole household is on me. We work the same hours, and I'm the one who works at home. And I would not be so offended if he was crooked. But my absence shows, and not for the first time, that my husband is a great homemaker when he wants to.
