3/ These are all tools for bringing our mind under control. The ones we need most depend on our individual situation. Where is our mind serving us least well?

4/ There is danger here though. We are also prone to over optimising use of mindsets. They are tools, and when we get good at using a tool we have to guard against using it when other tools we are less comfortable with would be better.

5/ This is a trap where it’s easy for us to think we are being enlightened but our mind is actually controlling us rather than serving us.

6/ Think of the monk who meditates so much they become austere and lose the joy in life. Or the person who practices self love and becomes narcissistic.

7/ I woke up this morning with this thought in my head. They may be old hat, I don’t know, but I felt compelled to get them in writing and out there. I think and hope there might be a grain of originality here and asking for comment is a way to test.
