in mexico city for a friendmergency and it’s crazy to me how the street vendors only accept cash anybody know why? in venice beach + the US, they accept venmo or cashapp in rio + são paolo, EVERYBODY uses Pix — from street vendors to big brands big opp for blockchain-based P2P payments bc no web2 competition

more than half people here are living in a state of poverty that doesn’t allows them to be part of the traditional bank system or owning an smart phone. there’s also a big gap when it comes to getting tech education or any education at all. we have a big road ahead of us when it comes to onboarding them to web3
