L2s are kinda like low-income housing where it’s good that there’s more cheap supply but it will also bring down the demand and therefore the price of the existing supply of existing housing aka ETH

this assumes demand is fixed more like bandwidth or compute - demand (new use cases) will grow to fill capacity
