@dwr.eth how do I set my default DM message retention to one year instead of one month?

you can only do it per DM in the upper right hand there will be the 30-day, click that and it will change to 1-year.

would you prefer to change all default? we don't currently have that option but can consider adding it

Yes, I want it. It’s not uncommon for me to read DMs on X from years ago for two reasons:

- remembering context of someone I’ve interacted with
- looking up the Lore of how a friendship started

Tbh I’d rather them never disappear. And if I have to pay more for that if I’m a minority, so be it.

Ok @ted @dwr.eth I’m really feeling the pain of this as I go to DM with people that just arrived for FarCon and all of the context of our convos is gone 🙁
