been running a /tavern every night this week with @tricil.eth we managed to blow up our first session last night when too many people pressed soundboard audios at the same time Tavern is probably my favorite app connected to the Farcaster protocol i just hope the devs aren’t fans of andrew tate, unlike @super

Probably because most people are easily convinced of a better life from grifters like him. Also we live in a very tribal world where finding your pack makes you double down on the biased thoughts you have.

Most of the best of us are too busy living their lives haha I think you have to search and find those role models that don't actively market themselves and just produce content on things they love. So the search is on each individual. The Algo is probably the issue

Yeah, the algo’s preferential treatment of controversy and extremism has more than likely contributed to the rise of these figures indeed. I hadn’t connected the algo up to it all before but that aligns with the reality of it all quite nicely. The algo combined with folks who aren’t intellectually curious enough to seek out other streams of information or perspectives than the algo surfaces for them
