It’s far more important to the survival of the project to get distribution right and get $degen into the correct holders hands

100% on board with it. 

Having some level of tiers / different variables to decide allocations for a more even spread will make for a lot better tipping distribution as well. 

It's almost like giving out any type of financial asset reward in a linear distribution usually ends badly
