I'd say since you can handle a high level of THC, you can probably handle mushrooms fine. The best way is to start small. Doesn't have to be microdose like 0.1 - 0.2g small, but even like 0.75-1g would be enough that you feel it, but you're still 100% coherent. Might get some tracers and stuff like that. 

I wouldn't jump head first into 2.5-3.5g though lol. Start with the above amount, and the next time add more, or even add a bit each hour if you're feeling it the first time lol. 

That said, you'd need to dedicate an entire evening around it without the kids, so it might be hard to ever do. 😅 🤣
