it's a bit hit-or-miss but promising, recommend everyone to request a copy of their own records when they visit the dentist

my 3yo has had tons of dental/cavity issues.

we've been taking her to dentists for years, and they have spent an awful lot of time not even subtly intimating that @selentelechia is a shitty mom.

This reminds me about when I had to get a bunch of X-rays, mri, etc., for my knee. I used Perplexity to explain what was going on when the docs weren’t clear and to make recommendations. It helped a lot, and even shared studies abt things that could work better. Handy.

so glad you were able to advocate for yourself!

it’s so great to have these tools available. They def aren’t perfect, but I can’t imagine the time it would have taken to look through studies myself on something that I needed to act on asap.
