Simson KR 51/1 F Series start: 1964 Starting series production in 1964, the Simson plant in Suhl produced the “Swallow” moped for about 24 years. Along with the Trabant, it symbolizes motorization in East Germany and achieved cult status with the film, “Schwester Agnes,” filmed in the GDR.
