Everyday Algorand (16): #Algorand has atomic swaps, which means one can swap tokens without any code required. This eliminates the need for smart contracts and third-party risk! Algorand-native tokens (Algorand Standard Assets [ASA]) are not smart contracts either! As far as I know there is no EVM chain supports this.

Everyday Algorand (15): Running a node on #Algorand is very straight-forward. Min stake is the lowest possible, hardware requirements are quite low, and sync time is about 3-4 hours. Also you can run it on Windows via a setup file!

Everyday Algorand (14): One of the unique features of #Algorand is instant finality. Transactions on Algorand finalize instantly; it's 0 seconds. The network confirms and finalizes transactions in a single step, making them immediately irreversible. Don't confuse this with block time, which is currently under 3 seconds on Algorand.

Today's movie was "Happening" (L'événement). It's a French film made in 2021 about abortion. I must say, the only interesting thing about the film is that it tells the story of how abortion was illegal in a Western European country as recently as 50 years ago. Other than the theme, it was just mediocre, and my rating is 5/10. I can recommend a much better movie on the same topic. It's "4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days". It's a Romanian film made in 2007, 8/10. You should really watch it.
