A New View of FC Community (my /firstdraft ) We talk about 'building community,' but why is it so hard? @danicaswanson shared "Community Is Not the Product," in which the author argues that extrinsic--or external---incentives, in particular tokens, will not 'build' community. A community, he says, 'is an organic group of humans who are aligned on a given mission & values, working together to achieve that goal.' A community is formed by intrinsic-or internal-incentive--the people are already aligned. Community is a big part of why I'm here. This article gave me words to describe some things I've seen. @hankmoody is building /live-the-same with intrinsic incentives. Hundreds of FCers meeting hundreds of FCers--it's like a digital cup of coffee. /sense recently decreased in activity when Moxie changed. Guess who it didn't change? @3irka.eth @girl-ua @tylerfoust.eth @rosekeyes @vito4ka.eth Why? Because they are there for intrinsic reasons--they love building community. 1/2 (cont'd ⬇️ )

No matter how hard we try most people only care about finances, without them no one wants to do anything And only a few can support, share, tell something really worthwhile. Yes, the activity has decreased, but it has decreased not only at us, but in general everywhere, everyone went into trade and do not want to spend their time on people who in the end still remain ungrateful. It's not an easy road, but we're not going to stop.

¥our commitment is evident and appreciated greatly. The fact that building community is hard and under-appreciated could become a feature and not a bug as we find our true people and others sift out. I'm not sure how my post sounds, but in my head it's not a negative thing. I really appreciate finding the people who are building community and see that as a growing tribe. Have a great day!

I answer without negativity too 😉 , just confirming that building something special will take a lot of effort, time, but in the end I think it will be worth it.
