increasingly more 10k fids & below are in my dms calling for me to get LOUDER

it appears the inner circle is finally getting pissed off?

two notable developments:

1) “get louder for us” — people are scared to speak up due to fear of retribution from ex-cb mafia (this is horrifying, no different than censorship & why we get called linkedin)

2) just talked to a second crypto & fc og who is now advising an fc competitor interested in tokenizing the social graph: one just wants to start a fire; the other is giving “fine i’ll do it myself” energy

while i appreciate dans recent visibility on the timeline, we’ve debated this time & time again to no end & nothing has changed 

out of love for the network, the people want SOME of the 100m+ of capital being SAT ON deployed & deployed LOUDLY 

starting with ONE non dev hire to run ONE of these initiatives (to start): 

> eco fund
> marketing & ua
> branding & optics
> grants & devrel
> meaningful creator rewards & ambassador program

Let’s say a group of folks were to establish an independent Marketing and Funding arm for the Farcaster ecosystem. 

What would you want such an org to do?

- Develop an engaging FC story (in the sense of 'Story Branding') in a way that allows it to be presented in a 100 different ways in a 100 different places and go do that. 

- Go out into CT and other places and tell the FC and FC success stories in a way that combats the well-entrenched stereotypes people formed early in 2024

- Encourage (lead?) an onboarding process to facilitate success and retention for newcomers

- Connect with tech and web3 media to promote FC effectively

that's a marketing start...not commenting on funding at this point.

Yeah, I can imagine unsustainable on your own. Jihad's idea implies a group of OGs that I would assume would have some funding for the work.

Couldn't agree more. I saw one or two of your things along the way, but probably not near what you've done. I didn't know you had focused on onboarding.
