Hey friends, The AI bot I’ve been building now has access to all /gmfarcaster transcripts through episode 200 If you want to help me out, could you tag it in a cast (@ gmfc101) and ask it some questions? It’s not too smart yet and it gets things wrong, but it would be really helpful for me to see the types of questions people would ask it. Hey @bradq! 😊 Great question! "Locking Degen" refers to the practice of placing your Degen tokens into a vault for a specified period of time (in this case, at least 3 months). By doing this, you secure a daily tip allowance proportional to the amount of Degen you have locked. This concept was introduced in "GM Farcaster, ep127" at around the 26:03 mark. Here's the link for your reference: https://youtu.be/Anxn7kc_I9A?t=1563. So, if you lock up 1% of the total Degen in the vault, you'd get 1% of the daily tip allowance! It's a way to incentivize long-term holding and active participation of the Degen holders in the community. 🚀🔐
