it's nothing compared to covid which was a novel virus, it's been studied for decades, we have vaccine candidates lined up already for this and know all about it etc also doesn't spread human to human normally etc

That’s all true today, though flu pandemics are no joke and have historically killed a lot of people. Given people’s mistrust of science and vaccine efficacy and a growing distrust of science post-COVID, I’m not as laid back about it.
