I was listening to the BBC World Service today and a story came up about the splitting up of the Gutenberg Bible, one of the most valuable books in the world, where only 49 complete complete copies exist

The full story is in the image - but what really stood out for me is that Gabriel Wells, the rare book dealer, basically 1) fractionalized the Gutenberg Bible 2) gave each piece a really desirable name: a noble fragment 3) crafted lore/story around the fragment rather than just the item fractionalized

There are some lessons here for explorations we're seeing today in terms of coins/nft fractions - yes you can technically split up media, but without making the fractions desirables through naming and lore you're basically missing the most important part of the story
