Not sure if this makes sense or not, But to tell apart good ai art from bad ai art, i don’t really look at the art itself And instead, i examine the range of outputs the artist publishes. The more consistent their repertoire, the more they are involved in handpicking results expressing their artistic vision or statement. (Using ai as just a tool) The more random and experimental their work, the more it seems that the ai is doing most of the work with no human/artistic filter at the end to channel the results into a cohesive body of self expressive artworks. (Using ai to larp as an artist) How do you tell apart good ai art and artists from bad ones? Btw obviously this is a subjective statement and question, There is no such thing as objectively bad art or artists.

You don’t really have to “believe in NFTs” tbh you have to believe in the fact that Digital Art will have a pivotal role in the cultural climate of a world that’s getting more & more digitized by the hour. NFTs are just the medium in which that digital art is best delivered in.

The 2021 NFT Bullrun started tight after the downfall of that cycle’s top SocialFi project, BitClout. Now FriendTech just went belly up, liquidity on memecoins are almost all dried up too. The stars are aligning again and we are all insufficiently bullish on what’s coming next.

The space is seriously giving early 2021 vibes again Everyone is clueless but also kinda curios about what’s ahead Early grifters are almost all out & enthusiastic new faces are somewhat playfully adjusting themselves for the new era of web3 The rollercoaster is about to drop.

In the name of freedom, decentralization and the web3 ethos you keep purporting to fight and stand for, maybe lift those stupid blanket bans over literally millions of creators, artists and active productive participants in the space whom you have shamelessly purged from your platform just because of their nationality.

Whenever you thought NFTs are losing their edge and impact on the art world because the sales are down bad, Remember this Brian Eno quote: “The first Velvet Underground album only sold 10,000 copies, but everyone who bought it formed a band”

The cool thing about NFTs being dead again is how it allows artists to focus on their onchain footprint & repertoire instead of having to dedicate all their resources to marketing & sales, Tokenization for the sake of tokenization will finally outshine the lust for monetization.

Still thinking about this exhibition i saw in Tehran a year ago or so. Those are NOT screens, they’re just acrylic paintings, but with a custom kind of lighting that only shines on the canvas making it pop like a backlit screen. Physical paintings imitating digital art was a memorable sight to see.
