An interesting observation about changing behavior patterns: Fortune writes that young people are moving away from “Googling” and increasingly using TikTok and Instagram as search engines. So-called “social searching” is used by 45% of Generation Z representatives. Among millennials, only 35% do so, among Gen X representatives - 20%, and among boomers - less than 10%. Technophiles mistakenly predicted that ChatGPT would kill “classic” search engines, but social networks are killing them rather. “About 40% of young people, when looking for a place to have lunch, do not go to Google Maps or Search,” shared a senior vice president of Google. https://fortune.com/2024/09/10/gen-z-google-verb-social-media-instagram-tiktok-search-engine/
