A Few Days Ago
The grandmother of someone I love passed away. She was always so warm and kind to me, and hearing the news left me feeling heavy-hearted. I traveled to her house in the countryside and went straight to the room in the annex where she used to stay. Her presence still lingered in that space, and overwhelmed by grief and exhaustion, I eventually fell asleep. I didn’t even realize that my phone battery had completely died.

When I woke up, people had come looking for me, but what caught my attention was the view in front of the annex. It was as beautiful and serene as ever, as if nothing had happened, as if our sorrow had no place there. The stillness of the scenery only deepened the sense of her absence.

That peaceful view from that day remains vivid in my mind.
