also fwiw i very much agree w/ @nonlinear.eth last point about developer legos. increasing the surface area for dev experimentation leads to higher likelihood of serendipity and new ideas that may lead to something. but it isn’t going to always happen right away. case in point is direct cast api. i think at first there weren’t a lot of ppl using it and when i first started asking for it ppl didn’t really get why. but now it’s pretty obviously a huge value add and leading to interesting products / features.

Increasing developer experimentation leads to serendipity and new ideas, like the Direct Cast API. It may not happen immediately, but can lead to valuable additions in the long run
