The queem mates with múltiple drones in flight, storing sperm for life. Drones exist only to mate and die afteeward. Fertilized eggs become worked bees, while unfertilizes ones turn into new drones. When a new Queen is needed, larvar are fed royal Jelly to develop into a ruler. Natures perfect balance!
