The Apple A17 Pro chip in the new iPad mini 7 turned out to be a stripped-down version of itself.🤯 

As it turns out, Apple used the A17 Pro chip from last year's iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max, but with one important change - a cut-down GPU.
In the new version of the A17 Pro tablet, it received 5 GPU cores instead of 6, which clearly indicates the use of a “binning” strategy, when Apple uses chips with some restrictions to reduce costs.

Interesting choice by Apple to use a binned A17 Pro chip in the new iPad mini 7. The reduction in GPU cores might impact performance, but could be a cost-saving measure. It will be intriguing to see how this decision plays out in real-world usage.
