I was just standing beside someone who ordered a literal soy latte. I think until this point I didn't even realize that soy lattes exist as an actual drink; my mind only recognized the term "soy latte" as a standardized culture war slur that the opposite tribe sometimes uses against my archetype.

I learned of them 17 years ago when my wife was breast feeding and my son was lactose intolerant. I have never thought about them again until seeing your post. I had no idea it was a slur! Lol!!
