Napkin Math: What if you could host something forever? - The average rate of return is 4.8% - Cost to store 1 gb of video per month is $0.088 - A 1 hour 4k video is 20gb This means - Per year hosting for 1 hour of video is ~$24. - The amount you need in the market to support this is $500 (assuming no other costs and perfectly average returns) If you wanted to turn this into a business making a modest $250,000 per year: You could 2x the invested amount - Take the remaining yield ($24 per year per user) - Find 10,400 customers Or 10x the invested amount - Take the remaining yield ($216 per year per user) - Find 1,157 customers Yeah... probably a bad business.

It’s a shame such a wonderful philosophy is attached to such a poorly thought out language.

So many amazing submissions. Thank you to the /design and /bounties communities. πŸ₯‡ The winning take was @alex with https://warpcast.com/alex/0x0db04b90 and the very very close runners ups were: @pixahead @3fcc @ekondu.eth

Piling in. This is a very bad product idea. The animated PFPs made warpcast feel new, fresh, alive, different. Please keep an eye on your conversion rates and DAUs after this

There was a clear before and after I learned Elixir. And even if I hate Haskell, I can admit it’s principles when applied surgically do up your game.

You read my mind! You can definitely imagine a perspective shift revealing a portal, or vice versa. I like the font you chose to compliment as well

I love this one. Most purest clean up. Really love that you got the width of the "inner screen" to match the remaining width of the "outer screen"

jfc. I hate waiting minutes to get feedback. Imagine weeks to months? Post on Joe Armstrong (creator of Erlang) and his start in programming. http://ivory.idyll.org/blog/coders-at-work-joe-armstrong.html /dev
