Layer 2 value propositions will be obvious in hindsight. Why invest in building consensus, assembling a validator network, achieving decentralization, and creating censorship-resistant technology when you can leverage a best-in-class solution (i.e., Ethereum) virtually for free? New networks/Appchains should focus on delivering other unique advantages. It’s just like how companies don’t rebuild their entire data centers when they can rely on cloud providers.
