If you’ve wondered how tf people on the Degen leaderboard have been tipped so much already, hop on Dune. (I wondered too)

Many on that board have sent 200-450 tips over the past 7 days. 

Most are casting 100+ times a day.

Conclusion: They tipped 2X more often than me & received 2X more tips.

Are they mostly reciprocal tips then?

I am rarely tipped by the same people I give tips to, so I wonder.

As most things that trend, if it’s about the number of tips, then you have to be lucky enough to have a large allowance in the first place. If you have a small one you can only give out so many tips.

I think that also has a lot to do with your intentions for tipping and your allowance size.

As someone with an allowance that is barely bigger than what you just tipped me (thank you, btw!) and who has a goal of supporting artists’ posts, I can’t reciprocate or it would use my whole allowance and not for my goal.

I wouldn't say reciprocal in the sense that people are just farming tips on the same posts (most genuine users don't)

However reciprocity is engrained in our dna so I do think when someone does something nice to you, you're more likely to do something nice next time you see their post

I try to give out 20 at a time, which means I can usually tip between 7 and 9 art posts a day. I feel bad tipping less than 20 but maybe I should do 10 and stetch it out more. 

But not sure if the number of tips is really a factor or just giving it all out. Or just number of casts/interactions for rank.

As for large allowance just give slightly smaller amounts, maybe its 16 degen or something until your gain more allowance

My belief though is the tips reside in the replies & conversations like the ones being had here 💙
