Let me explain Trusted Execution Environments and Zero Knowledge Proofs in the same way:  

ZKPs are a process that runs code and generates both an answer and a  proof  
ZKP(code) → [answer, proof]  
With the answer and a proof, you have run some process locally that  everyone can trust.  With this you can build oracles, applications,  sequencers, and even blockchains.   

TEEs are a process that runs code and generates both an answer and an attestation  
TEE(code) → [answer, attestation]  
With the answer and an attestation, you have run some process locally  that everyone can trust.  With this you can build oracles, applications,  sequencers, and even blockchains.   

The key difference:  TEEs are faster (lower finality) and cheaper (less  energy intensive).
