You should've been able to mint without cast. Setting was just Follow to mint.

I tried first following whoever shared it I believe, then found OP and followed them as well. Neither worked. I was only able to mint when casting in a comment in a thread. I heard a rumor that the workflow definition of "follow to cast" is mislabed on more than one occasion and is acting as Recast in thread to mint.
