What would happen if there was an economic system designed to trend prices down to only the cost of labor & raw material inputs? What if all R&D were publicly available royalty free? Could society figure out fair allocations & a new mechanism that rewarded the largest givers? Imagine if you lived in feudal times when capitalism took hold.

Indeed indeed. I have hope that there’s a sliver of the economy where experiments like this can occur during peacetime. Intangible ‘goods’ are breaking capitalism. Having some alt systems that have been road tested might come in handy one day.
