This is the second day that /base crossed $1,5M in daily L2 fees in the last 6 days.

that's one way to look at it, definitely. the lack of future mints on mainnet will also add some retroactive weight to those '21-23 mints as well.

im so sad i never minted /lsd on mainnet yet, still looking forward to it, but as time goes i get this feeling it won't make sense by one im ready bc prices of eth keep going higher

another way to solve this is mint in an l2 like base first ,(for a cheap mint experience) and migrate to mainnet next, if the FP rises and there's demand/a good reason for it (permeability)

what is good to think about, is if any of this l2's decide to shut down, you can always migrate the tokens before they do so.

i remember hearing about some nft that migrated to mainnet eth when their chain closed down and a few survived the migration can't remember the name

but this makes me -at peace- with l2's

i'm curious to see how many collectors start to choose migration of tokens in time as well. as an artist i'm not too concerned one way or another, base is just as valid as mainnet imo. i can see the argument for future 'store of value' or some such with collectors being the primary audience for that use case.
