Why fargold? why not just use creatures to calculate energy

Because you earn Fargold for completing achievements, gym battles, winning tournaments, collecting, etc... It's a better proxy for how involved you are with the project IMO We can modify in the future, but for now, it felt like the most logical factor to use

This is just my opinion for now it is better to calculate energy based on creatures so that it is commensurate with what we spend some have 5 and some have 100 creatures and they both have the same max energy

Also, this is just the first iteration. We put in some quick caps to get the feature across the line. There will be more features and perks for collectors, fargold, etc overtime.
