Ngl, as a Nigerian, it’s a bit of a culture shock to hear that y’all pour milk before cereal. Here, we mostly use powdered milk—so we mix the milk with cereal first and then add water.

And to answer the question you’re probably thinking: most people use powdered milk because evaporated milk is perishable, and we don’t have reliable power supply.
