What’s the FC temperature on the phrase “Those who can, do. Those who can’t, teach.” — do y’all find this to be true? What other thoughts do you have on it?

I often hear "horror" (they aren't that horror filled honestly) stories of folks being so attached to the way things were and not the way things are

Specific examples:
- rugby league coach when I played semi-pro (he only played semi-pro, not pro, but the far better coach than other's who'd never reached that level)
- techstars program manager (ex-founder turned VC)

to your point, they had an appetite for new ideas, which may be biggest factor maybe.
