never heard @lucanetz before but now a fan of him and Pudgy Penguins after hearing him at @jakub’s onchain social day. here are some good sound bites. “the PFP game is a status game. i’m in the business of winning; i’m focused on scale and i wake up every morning and i wanna be the biggest and the best. crypto needs to cross the chasm and it’ll come down to the communities and products and brands built on top of these protocols. people think selling jpegs on crypto rails makes them a web3 business; no, that’s a web2 business. a web3 business is building with your community and the hivemind with aligned incentives, rather than building in your own silo and making money on blockchain rails. those that embody those ethos will find success. there is a weird thing in crypto where they build for crypto users and alienate web2 users, but crypto users are actually web2 users — so why don’t we just build for normal users and everyone will latch on. like im building Club Penguin for 2025.”
