Here’s some real world adoption for you.

Today I went to test out a new P2P crypto shop. Basically, you come in, buy/sell,  and leave - many such shops here.

Anyway, I thought I’ll do some ETH as that is readily accepted, right?

So I ask the usual questions…
Fees: 1-2%
Speed: 2-5 mins

Good, good…
Last question: “What tokens do you accept?”

“USDT as TRC20”😮

The clerk notices my confusion and asks what I wanted to use.

“Um… ETH, on mainnet”

“Oh, we don’t do that here, you should ask someone how to transfer it to Tron and swap.” 💀

i heard USDT (TRC-20) is one of the most used stables IRL, i guess we will keep hearing more and more cases like yours; a lot of fud on TRON/Sun but his chain is out there being used for real ppl 🤷

i don't have any inside info but from the outside seems like tron is killing it with USDT

That seems to be the case - Tron was able to make a push into those communities, the question is how.
