For years and years now I’ve argued that projects and companies need to be paying their communications people similar if not more than their engineers I’ve seen more projects fail in this space due to bad comms than bad contracts

That’s an amazing take yet again by ghost! I think most projects look at their communications as people who can easily be replaced with just a “strong community” and they don’t actually appreciate those people at all… I know because I was one 💀 RIP tronnie and his time

I agree 100%! Having experience in several projects, representing the CIS region (the number of users of which is simply huge), I was fired with the words: we are not interested in the region. At the same time, I continued to lead my community simply by the call of my heart, because I was hooked on these people.

It is tough, people quite often measure things with thier eyes rather than check the real values. For the most part humans are great at seeing things of medium size and medium speed at medium distances, it takes evaluation to perceive intricacies.

I do marketing for a living and have for over a decade and I’d say 75% of my job is just communications. Not enough emphasis is placed on its importance at most companies. Glad mine are different. :)
