The oldest civilizations in the world are Sumer in Mesopotamia, the Indus Valley civilization in the Indian subcontinent and the ancient Egyptian civilization. The history of these civilizations goes back to about 3 to 4 thousand years BC. Ancient Egypt is considered as the first countries with a central system.
