After Ethiopia successfully resisted colonial conquest in 1896, at the famous Battle of Adwa, it inspired many African nations to seek their independence. Despite Marcus Garvey creating the Pan African Flag of Red, black and green, newly independent nations opted for the Ethiopian colours of green, yellow, and red for their flags. The only African countries using the Marcus Garvey's Pan African colours are Libya 🇱🇾, Kenya 🇰🇪, South Sudan 🇸🇸 and Malawi 🇲🇼. #Africa
