I finished reading it, and I still believe that this is one of the best books I've read this year. The theme, the form, and the way it's written are delightful. But the book hurts a lot, because it's about deep unlove and the inability to love. I feel sorry for the heroine, I feel sorry for the author (because this is partly an autobiographical book), I feel sorry for many children of that generation, I feel sorry for myself, for us, for everyone. To the point of screaming.
