I'd love to know how much the mad scientists at Farcaster thought this through versus it being a happy accident but it certainly has worked out well!
Interesting framing to think about it less as random tipping and more as individually guided allocation of future protocol resources / governance / influence.

farcaster the protocol just exists, teams will continue to build cool things on it regardless of any direct involvement from FC because it allows gives them a superpower in the form of: 

a social graph that lets you immediately access users + build community from day 1
