Don’t date potential, date the person in front of you. The hope of course is that you grow together in the relationship, but seeing people as they are vs what you want them to be

love it, also helps ensure that you fall for the person vs any one specific trait pursuing because it feels cool or there’s one thing you like about the person is a road to a bad relationship where there’s no real foundation outside of intrigue
