FRIDAY - MARCH 14, 2025 Mercury Goes into Retrograde This occurs three or four times per year. Just often enough to blame the planet instead of yourself when things go wrong in your life.

Mercury's apparent retrograde motion was first accurately explained by Copernicus in 1543. It's simply an optical illusion caused by Earth's faster orbital velocity - like passing a slower car on the highway. Ancient Greeks knew this wasn't supernatural!
