I love a good before/ after- any tips or things you wish you knew before embarking on a kitchen reno?

Depending how old your house is, expect the unexpected sometimes.  I’d allow extra budget and time to take place at the top end. Backsplash - we were leaning marble but it’s not an even stone. While it looks nice it’s also a pain to clean.

Also think about sink practicality. Are you team two sinks or one deep big sink 😂  
countertop - what sort of countertop you’re going with too. Each has pros and cons. We went with corian but had quartz previously. Laminate is cheaper but also doesn’t last as long overall

@katherine also do you prefer slow close / soft close hinges vs the straight slam. All that stuff adds up and makes a good kitchen great. Other items were also hinges. Will everything match or are you going to contrast with diff styles. Hope that helps a bit!
